Futures works across the East Midlands, with offices, depots and touchdown points all the way from Alfreton to Northampton and many in between. Although our main headquarters is based in Castle Donington, we’ve been making sure all our sites are up-to-date and ready for our people to do their best work – which means giving some of them a bit of much needed TLC!

Our main focuses have been our depot in Leabrooks, Ripley, and our supported living schemes in Rushden, Peterborough and Northampton. While the work has varied from full redevelopment to reconfiguring and refurbishing, one thing has been constant – our goal to create as little waste as possible, and to continue giving back to the communities we serve by recycling and reusing things we no longer have a use for.

In our northern region, we contacted our friends at Salcare to see if they could use any of our no-longer-needed furnishings. They were happy to find homes for lots of pieces, including chairs and desks, a fridge freezer, two microwaves and a water boiler!

Jacqui Bell, Director of Services at Salcare said "We're really thankful of Futures Housing Groups' donation, these furniture items will be used to support families in need in our local community. Many of our clients come to us with nothing and are in desperate need, with Futures' support we can help them build their new lives."

We also offered some of our furniture to residents in our supported living schemes, including arm chairs for their rooms and desks, tables and cupboards for the communal areas.

We’re proud to be supporting our customers and communities and looking after the planet, all while looking after our team and giving them a great place to work. We’re excited to continue our sustainability efforts, and take the season of giving all the way into 2024 and beyond.
