NHS Covid-19 app launched today

24 September 2020

A new smartphone app has been launched today, designed to support the NHS to track cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and help prevent the virus spreading throughout the community.

Using the app, you can check-in to pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues, and will be alerted if you’ve been near other app users who have tested positive for COVID-19, so you know if you need to self-isolate. You can also log any symptoms you might be concerned about, book a test, and see the alert level in your local area.

The NHS COVID-19 app is available on Android and Apple devices, and the UK’s major mobile network operators have agreed that people who use it will not be charged for the data usage.

You can download it from the Apple store by clicking this link.

You can download it from the Google Play store by clicking this link.
