Eight out of ten Futures Housing Group customers allow gas safety inspections first time, so the housing group is urging the remaining 20 per cent to do the same.
The call comes during Gas Safety Week, a national week of campaigning started by Gas Safe Register.
As a landlord, Futures wants to make sure all of its homes are safe places to live, so each year, by law, gas safety inspections to check that gas appliances are working at their best are completed
Jason Topley, Futures Gas Surveyor, said: “It’s really important that we’re able to check gas fires, boilers and appliances each year so we know they’re in the best condition for our customers.
“Don’t worry, we’ll contact you to arrange an appointment that best suits you, and if you need to change it that’s not a problem.
“We’ve got more than 9,100 properties to check every year, so it really helps us to get into do checks first time so you know your gas safety is up-to-date.”
Futures is also sharing gas safety tips on social media, with videos by Jason including his top tips for gas safety in the home.
