Tenancy advice

Your tenancy agreement is an important legal document. You should keep it in a safe place but if you do lose it, please contact us.

These pages provide you with some details about the kind of agreement that you may have and the terms and conditions in that agreement.

Types of tenancy

All Futures Homescape tenants will either have an assured or assured short-hold tenancy.

Assured tenants

Assured tenants can live in their property as long as they don’t break the tenancy agreement for example by:

  • Falling into rent arrears
  • Causing anti-social behaviour.

Assured short-hold tenants

Assured shorthold tenants have a fixed term agreement, usually for six months. After this period we can recover possession of the property. These tenancies are usually used for people in temporary accommodation.
