Set up in October 2010, the Panel consists of between 7-9 tenants who meet at least 6 times per year to scrutinise the performance of the business as well as ‘local offers’. All panel members receive support, advice and training to be competent within the role.
The Panel agree an annual programme of reviews with the Board and task other tenant bodies (Tenant Inspectors; Quality Circle, Mystery Shoppers) to verify information within a particular service area and then translate those findings into action reports which include recommendations for improvement. Service areas may be chosen by the group themselves, tenant suggestions, board/business priorities and/or where services appear to be under performing. It is anticipated that between 3 and 4 reviews will be conducted each year. Information is made available to the Panel to enable them to fully scrutinise a particular area of the business which includes performance information and customer surveys .
