Léann Hearne – Chair
Léann is Operations Director for The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, a specialist provider of older people’s services in a unique environment. Having also spent a number of years leading organisations in the private sector, she has a number of skills and a wide range of experience to aid and support both Futures Housing Group and Futures Homescape in the aims.
Norman Bull – Vice Chair
Norman has been a Borough Councillor for more than 20 years and represents the Denby, Kilburn Holbrook Ward. A past mayor of Amber Valley, he also serves on Belper Town Council. He is married with a teenage daughter. During his time on the Council since 2000, Norman has been Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety and was the first Chairman of Futures Homescape.“My involvement in the Stock Transfer is my proudest achievement in Local Government”.
Pravin Parmar – Board Director Futures Homescape and Chair Five Doorways Homes
Pravin has worked in housing since 1982 mainly in the positions of Head/Director of Finance. He has recently moved to Tuntum Housing Association in Leicester as Director of Resources which was set up to provide housing for people with low incomes, primarily from Nottingham’s Black and minority ethnic (BME) population. Pravin has been involved with community work for over 35 years.
Brian Lyttle – Board Director Futures Homescape
Brian is a qualified engineer having worked in the profession for 35 years. He is currently a full time carer and has been a parish councillor for 20 years and a school governor for 26 years.
Philip Severs – Board Director Futures Homescape
Philip was appointed as the Director of Finance at Sheffield Hallam University in February 2001.
Philip has substantial public and private sector experience and, having built a major part of his career in transport organisations responding to the privatisation and deregulation agenda, played a central role in driving major corporate change. In his previous role of Corporate Services Director at Centro, the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive, he was responsible for finance, HR, IT and corporate planning and was also Project Director for the £145m Midland Metro light rail project. Philip also has previous experience of Further Education, having been a key member of the team that established City College Manchester as one of the leading FE colleges, doubling its turnover in two years and halving its dependence on FEFC funding. Not only was Philip in charge of the finances, he also had commercial and operational management responsibilities.
Philip holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Nottingham and is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
Gez Kinsella – Board Director Futures Homescape
For the past 13 years Gerald has been involved in delivering housing neighbourhood services within local authorities and RSL’s.Additionally, a management committee member for MIND, the mental health charity and shelter Nottingham Housing Advice Service.
Phil Tooley – Board Director Futures Homescape

Phil is employed as a Bursar in the independent education sector but has spent most of his professional life as a senior manager in the building materials industry. Additionally, he has a passion for football (Chesterfield FC in particular, where he was formerly a Director) and he works as a part time freelance journalist, covering the club in a number of local newspapers and radio stations. He is also an elected representative of the Midlands Co-operative Society. Married for over 30 years, Phil has always lived in Derbyshire despite frequently working further afield.
Ian Toal – Board Director Futures Homescape
As an Independent Board Director of Futures Homescape, Ian is also a nominated Board Director of Futures Housing Group. Ian began his career with companies such as Spillers Homepride, Courtaulds, RHM, Whitworths, and Brakes and was Managing Director of IAWS Foods UK from 2008-11. Recently he was appointed Chief Executive of Adams Group. He brings significant business management, development and operational experience to the Group.
Liz Brown – Board Director Futures Homescape
Liz Brown, now retired was Executive Director of the Alfreton Vocational Academy, based in the Genesis Centre for four years to July 31st. Prior to that she had worked in the Further Education Sector as a lecturer and Middle/Senior Manager in ICT and Business Studies for 30 years. Liz served as Borough Councillor for Erewash Borough Council from 1987-91 and was opposition spokesperson for Housing. Liz has expertise in apprenticeship training, financial, personnel, enterprise and general management and enjoys playing the saxophone in a small local jazz band.
Graham Hibbert - Board Director Futures Homescape
Graham began his working life as an apprentice mechanical engineer with the National Coal Board. He then moved on to East Midlands Electricity as an overhead line engineer. From there he joined British Gas working in management services, being responsible for staff budgets, office payouts and the introduction of incentive bonus schemes. On leaving British Gas, he along with a colleague, started up a gas engineering business. Graham has been married to his wife, Pam, for 49 years. They have 3 children, 10 grand-children and 3 great grand-children.
