
Chappell House, located in Moulton, is a sheltered scheme that comprises of 24 independent properties. These include four flats, which have one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, an entrance hall, lounge and store cupboard, and 20 Studio apartments which comprise of a kitchen, bathroom, lounge/bedroom and entrance hall.
All properties have central heating, which is provided from a central boiler. Properties also feature smoke detectors, which are linked to the main fire alarm system.
Residents also have access to communal areas, including a communal lounge, communal gardens, a large kitchen area, a communal laundry area and a scooter storage room.
All properties have an Intercom System, which enables the Scheme Manager and tenant to be in contact in case of emergency.
Tenants can also use the door entry system from their properties, allowing them to let friends and family members into the building, without having to leave their home.
The scheme is managed by a Scheme Manager, who is on site weekdays. When the Scheme Manager is off site, the scheme is monitored by an offsite central control, which is manned 24hrs a day 52 weeks of the year.
