Our Board

The Board of Management at Daventry & District Housing is made up of 12 Directors.

This comprises:

  • Four tenants, elected by tenants
  • Four councillors chosen by Daventry District Council
  • Four independents who are chosen by other Board Directors for their relevant expertise

The Board exists to:

  • Oversee all the association’s activities
  • Plan for the future
  • Agree policies
  • Monitor performance

The Daventry & District Housing Board comprises:

Jennie Hayes

(Tenant Board Director)

Jennie Hayes

Jennie was very involved pre-transfer of the housing stock from Daventry District Council and was a member of the DDH Shadow Board. She has been a DDH Board Director since transfer in November 2007 and is the Board Champion for the Major Improvement Programme (MIP). Jennie was a member of the tenant panel involved in the selection of the MIP partner and continues to be actively involved in several resident involvement groups.

Richard Atterbury

(Council Board Director)

Richard Atterbury

Richard has been an elected councillor for the Crick and Winnwick ward for over 15 years. Having lived in the area for the last 35 years he is also a local Parish Councillor and has served on the council’s Scrutiny Committee. At Daventry District Council he has been Portfolio Holder for the Environment, and Vice Chair of the Planning Committee since 2008.

Elaine Bradbury

(Chair, Independent Board Director)

Elaine Bradbury

Elaine, as a lawyer for Central Bedfordshire Council, has gained a wealth of experience in planning and housing matters. She works closely with the strategic housing team which keeps her up to speed with developments in social housing.

David Whalley

(Independent Board Director)

David Whalley

David has a wealth of experience in finance and business, having spent 43 years working for Lloyds TSB. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, he was responsible for running 122 branches as Area Director for the South East Midlands.

Dixie Hughes

(Tenant Board Director)

Dixie Hall

Dixie is retired now having spent the majority of his working life in the police force. He was an elected member of Daventry District Council for 5 years from 1999 to 2004 and has recently been appointed as a Parish Councillor at Preston Capes. Dixie is the Board Champion for Community Development at DDH.

David Leathley

(Tenant Board Director)

David Leathley

David trained as an accountant and has spent his working life in financial management of commercial enterprises; he is now semi-retired. David was appointed to the Board of DDH in March 2010 and has taken on the role of Board Champion for Communications, working with tenant groups and staff to improve our communication with customers. David is also the treasurer at St Andrews Rugby Football club in Rugby.

Sophie Fitzhugh

(Independent Board Director)

Sophie Fitzhugh

Sophie has worked in social housing for over 20 years, in housing management and more recently, regeneration. She is part of the senior management team at LHA-ASRA Group and was also on the Board of the Daventry and South Northants Primary Care Trust between 2000 and 2006.

Abigail Campbell

(Council Board Director)

Cllr A Campbell

Abigail was elected as a District Councillor for Braunston and Welton in May 2012 and appointed as a DDH Board Director in September.

Ian Duly

(Council Board Director)

Cllr I Duly Board

Ian was elected as a District Councillor for Weedon ward in May 2012 and appointed as a DDH Board Director in September.

Kevin Perry

(Council Board Director)

Kevin Perry

Kevin has been a District Councillor for 20 years, representing the Weedon ward.Kevin has always lived in the area, and has a keen interest in social housing, having been a Housing Portfolio holder for DDC, and representing the Council on the former East Midlands Local Government Housing Forum.Kevin has many interests including angling, gardening, music and local history.

Bob Osborn

(Tenant Board Director)

Bob Osborn Board

Bob is a DDH tenant, living in East Farndon.He was appointed to DDH Board in September 2012, having been actively involved in DDH’s Service Improvement Group and holding the role of Complaints Champion.Bob is semi-retired, working in building maintenance; he is also the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator in East Farndon.
