Futures Housing Group is built on the foundations of Amber Valley Housing, a stock transfer of 5,500 homes from Amber Valley Borough Council.
Our ability to deliver on tenants’ promises, raise customer satisfaction and exceed expectations led to a partnership with Daventry District Council when the authority consulted its tenants on the transfer of 3,100 homes. The subsequent transfer to the new company, Daventry & District Housing and launch of Futures Housing Group went ahead in November 2007.
Both Amber Valley Housing and Daventry & District Housing have since received two stars following audit inspection. Daventry & District Housing achieved this within just two years of transfer.
The group benefits from shared services in the areas of HR, IT, procurement, communications, development, regeneration and asset management, as well as finance, business improvement, governance, health, safety and the environment. These shared services enable our local companies to deliver effective frontline services and add capacity.
Both local companies are empowered to become 'Centres of Excellence' and share best practice which, in turn, benefits our tenants.
The group has a solid financial base and has substantial capacity to grow actively in the future. Our business development strategy seeks out new partnerships that help us deliver the best for customers and communities.
In the seven years up to the end of 2009, we have invested a total of £84m in improving homes and the quality of life for our customers in Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
